I can’t speak to their actual service, but my experience with one of their drivers was extremely disappointing. I was signaling to merge while making a right turn, and instead of allowing it safely, the driver sped up to block me, laughed, and then made an obscene gesture. It was rude, unsafe, and very unprofessional.

If this is how their drivers act on the road, it’s hard to feel comfortable trusting this company in my home. Employees should understand that their behavior reflects directly on the company’s reputation.”

We’ve had Llona work on 2 plumbing projects and one emergency (my husband drilled through a water pipe 🙄) and honestly we’d never use anyone else. They’re so nice- everyone- the ladies in the office, the guys who have come out to do the onsite work. I feel like they definitely know what they’re doing and they have always given us a very fair price. Some people gouge us when they see our home but I’ve never felt they have and I’ve compared their prices to others in the area. Wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This was our first time experience with Llona Plumbing, and it was great! We will definitely use them in the future. Other plumbing companies have become so big and corporate — we prefer the smaller, more customer-friendly small, family run business. Our tech Roger was terrific! He accomplished a lot in a short amount of time. Very polite and professional.

Roger Garcia arrived early & after introduction went straight to work. He was very polite & extremely efficient. We received excellent service from him.
He was such a pleasure to meet him.
We had original install of both the garbage disposal & the kitchen faucet which both needed replacement. We had already purchased the new items ourselves & had them on hand, however, the new installs were more complicated, but Roger was able to overcome the challenge & both pieces of equipment are running better than ever. Thank You, Roger for an excellent job. He is quite an asset to your company!
We feel that the cost was very fair! We are quite pleased to have Llona Plumbing to call on when needed. Great company & Staff!

Mitch came out today to do 21 point inspection and tune up on my 2 - 10 year old AC units. I’ve lived in Florida for 20 years and dealt with a lot of different AC companies. Mitch from Pronto is by far, the most professional and knowledgeable AC tech that I’ve ever dealt with.
He walked me through the process and explained what was happening with my system including areas that were functioning well and items to keep an eye on.
The next time that I have an AC need Pronto will be my first and only call. Thanks Mitch and The Pronto team!

Prompt, thorough, professional, tidy, polite, and knowledgeable service. Eddie was an excellent tech and explained all service options to me as well as made appropriate recommendations for my needs (didn't do the pushy oversell).

I would highly recommend Pronto Svc Pros & Llona Plumbing. Everyone from the office team to the techs in your home or business were top notch! They made a leak that I thought was going to be a nightmare into a very bearable/manageable experience with no frustration from the repair team.

Called Pronto Service Pros late (4:45pm) on Monday needing my AC system replaced. The quote arrived early the next morning at an excellent price, within an hour and a half the crew was here to remove my old system (a split with the air handler in the attic and compressor outside). They finished later in the day and my new system works great. Technicians were great, took all the old stuff with them, left my inside utility spotless clean. Oh, communications were outstanding - I got texts on when the techs were leaving to come here, and honestly I am impressed. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Duke Energy Rebates for HVAC Systems in Tampa Bay (2026)

Professional HVAC technicians in Tampa Bay providing expert air conditioning installation and repair services with specialized diagnostic equipment, showcasing cooling expertise since 2009.

When upgrading your home’s heating and cooling system in the Tampa Bay area, Duke Energy rebates can significantly reduce your investment costs. At Pronto Service Pros, we help homeowners throughout Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando, and Manatee counties maximize their Duke Energy rebate opportunities while installing premium HVAC systems that deliver long-term comfort and energy savings.

As a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor serving the Tampa Bay region since 2009, we understand both the rebate application process and the technical requirements needed to qualify for Duke Energy’s generous incentive programs. Our certified technicians ensure your new HVAC system meets all efficiency standards while handling the complex paperwork that secures your maximum rebate amount.

Understanding Duke Energy HVAC Rebates in Florida

Duke Energy Florida offers substantial rebates for qualifying high-efficiency heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. These rebates are designed to encourage customers to upgrade to energy-efficient systems that reduce overall electricity demand while lowering monthly utility bills for homeowners.

The rebate program covers various HVAC categories, including central air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-split systems, and smart thermostats. Homeowners can receive multiple rebates when upgrading different components simultaneously, making comprehensive system replacements particularly cost-effective.

Understanding Duke Energy’s rebate structure helps homeowners make informed decisions about HVAC investments. The utility company updates rebate amounts annually, typically announcing new rates each January to reflect current energy efficiency priorities and available funding.

Current Duke Energy HVAC Rebate Amounts

Duke Energy’s 2026 rebate program offers the following incentives for qualifying HVAC equipment:

Central Air Conditioning Systems

  • 16+ SEER units: $50 rebate
  • 17+ SEER units: $150 rebate
  • 18+ SEER units: $300 rebate
  • 19+ SEER units: $400 rebate

Ductless Mini-Split Systems

  • 16+ SEER units: $200 per indoor unit (maximum 4 units)
20+ SEER units: $300 per indoor unit (maximum 4 units)

Heat Pump Systems

  • 16+ SEER/9+ HSPF: $200 rebate
    17+ SEER/9.5+ HSPF: $400 rebate
    18+ SEER/10+ HSPF: $600 rebate
    19+ SEER/10+ HSPF: $800 rebate

Smart Thermostats

  • WiFi-enabled programmable models: $50 rebate
ENERGY STAR certified models: $75 rebate

These rebate amounts can be combined with federal tax credits and manufacturer incentives, creating substantial savings opportunities for Tampa Bay homeowners upgrading their HVAC systems through qualified contractors like Pronto Service Pros.

HVAC Equipment That Qualifies for Duke Energy Rebates

High-Efficiency Central Air Conditioning Systems

Central air conditioning systems must meet specific SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) ratings to qualify for Duke Energy rebates. Higher SEER ratings indicate greater energy efficiency, which translates to lower operating costs and larger rebate amounts for homeowners.

Modern high-efficiency air conditioners feature variable-speed compressors, advanced refrigerants, and sophisticated controls that optimize performance based on current cooling demands. These systems provide superior comfort while consuming significantly less electricity than older units, making them ideal investments for Tampa Bay’s demanding climate.

Our AC installation services include comprehensive system sizing and efficiency calculations to ensure your new equipment qualifies for maximum available rebates while delivering optimal performance for your specific home and usage patterns.

Energy-Efficient Heat Pump Systems

Heat pumps earn higher rebate amounts than traditional air conditioners because they provide both heating and cooling functions with exceptional efficiency. Duke Energy recognizes heat pumps as particularly valuable for Florida’s climate, where mild winter temperatures allow these systems to operate effectively year-round.

Advanced heat pump technologies include variable-speed operation, enhanced dehumidification capabilities, and smart defrost cycles that maintain efficiency even during occasional cold snaps. These features make heat pumps excellent choices for Tampa Bay homeowners seeking comprehensive climate control solutions.

The heat pump installation process requires careful attention to refrigerant line sizing, electrical requirements, and control integration to ensure optimal performance and rebate qualification. Our certified technicians handle every aspect of proper installation.

Ductless Mini-Split Systems

Ductless mini-split systems offer targeted cooling and heating for specific areas while earning substantial Duke Energy rebates. These systems are particularly valuable for home additions, converted spaces, or rooms with unique comfort requirements that traditional ducted systems cannot address effectively.

High-efficiency ductless systems feature inverter technology that modulates capacity to match exact load requirements, resulting in exceptional energy efficiency and quiet operation. Multiple indoor units can connect to a single outdoor unit, providing customized comfort zones throughout your home.

Our ductless system expertise includes proper indoor unit placement, refrigerant line installation, and electrical connections that ensure maximum efficiency and rebate qualification for your specific application.

Smart Thermostat Integration

Smart thermostats enhance HVAC system efficiency while qualifying for additional Duke Energy rebates. These devices learn usage patterns, optimize scheduling, and provide remote control capabilities that help homeowners minimize energy consumption without sacrificing comfort.

WiFi-enabled thermostats integrate with smartphone apps, allowing homeowners to monitor and adjust temperature settings from anywhere. Advanced models include geofencing capabilities, weather compensation, and integration with other smart home systems for comprehensive energy management.

Professional thermostat installation ensures proper wiring, system compatibility, and programming that maximizes both efficiency benefits and rebate qualification for your upgraded HVAC system.

Step-by-Step Duke Energy Rebate Application Process

Pre-Installation Requirements

Before purchasing qualifying HVAC equipment, homeowners must verify current rebate availability and specific model eligibility. Duke Energy maintains updated lists of qualifying equipment brands, models, and efficiency ratings that change periodically based on manufacturer certifications and program funding.

Documentation requirements include proof of Duke Energy residential service, contractor licensing verification, and equipment specification sheets showing SEER, HSPF, and ENERGY STAR ratings. Gathering these documents before installation prevents delays in rebate processing.
Our team handles pre-installation verification as part of our comprehensive HVAC services, ensuring your selected equipment qualifies for maximum available rebates before scheduling installation work.

Installation and Documentation Process

1. Equipment Selection and Verification

  • Confirm model numbers against Duke Energy’s qualified equipment list
  • Verify contractor licensing and certification requirements
  • Calculate total potential rebate amounts for selected equipment

2. Professional Installation

  • Install equipment according to manufacturer specifications
  • Complete all required performance testing and commissioning
  • Document serial numbers, model numbers, and installation dates

3. Post-Installation Testing

  • Verify system performance meets efficiency specifications
  • Complete required refrigerant leak testing and system balancing
  • Provide homeowner education on optimal system operation

4. Rebate Application Submission

  • Complete Duke Energy rebate application forms
  • Submit required documentation within specified timeframes
  • Track application status and respond to any utility requests

5. Rebate Processing and Payment

  • Duke Energy reviews submitted applications for completeness
  • Rebate payments typically process within 6-8 weeks
  • Payments arrive as credits on monthly utility bills or checks

Our experienced team manages the entire documentation and application process, ensuring timely submission and maximum rebate recovery for your HVAC investment.

Maximizing Your HVAC Rebate Savings

Combining Multiple Rebate Opportunities

Smart homeowners can stack Duke Energy rebates with federal tax credits, manufacturer incentives, and local utility programs to dramatically reduce HVAC system costs. The federal residential energy efficiency tax credit provides 30% credit on qualifying heat pump installations through 2032, creating substantial additional savings.

Manufacturer rebates often coincide with Duke Energy programs, particularly during spring and fall promotional periods when equipment demand is lower. Timing your installation to capture multiple incentive programs can result in total savings exceeding $2,000 on premium HVAC systems.

Our financing options help bridge the gap between upfront costs and rebate payments, allowing homeowners to proceed with energy-efficient upgrades without waiting for incentive processing.

Optimal Timing for HVAC Upgrades

Duke Energy rebate programs operate on annual funding cycles, with the highest rebate amounts typically available early in each calendar year. Homeowners planning major HVAC upgrades should consider timing installations to maximize available funding while avoiding peak demand periods.

Spring installations offer several advantages: moderate weather reduces installation complexity, contractor availability is typically better than summer peak season, and new systems can be properly tested before extreme weather arrives. Early season installations also ensure rebate funds remain available before annual allocations are exhausted.

Our preventive maintenance programs help identify systems approaching replacement needs, allowing homeowners to plan upgrades strategically around rebate availability and optimal installation timing.

Long-Term Energy Savings Calculations

High-efficiency HVAC systems qualifying for Duke Energy rebates typically reduce monthly energy costs by 20-40% compared to older equipment. These ongoing savings, combined with rebate recovery, often result in positive cash flow from the first month after installation.

SEER 18+ air conditioning systems consume approximately 30% less electricity than minimum efficiency units, translating to $40-80 monthly savings for typical Tampa Bay homes. Over a 15-year system lifespan, these savings exceed $10,000 while providing superior comfort and reliability.

Heat pump systems offer even greater savings potential because they replace both air conditioning and supplemental heating equipment. Homeowners switching from electric resistance heating to high-efficiency heat pumps often see 50% reductions in winter utility bills.

Common Duke Energy Rebate Application Mistakes

Documentation and Timing Errors

The most frequent rebate application errors involve incomplete documentation or missed submission deadlines. Duke Energy requires specific forms, equipment specifications, and installation certificates submitted within 90 days of equipment installation. Missing any required document can delay or disqualify rebate applications.

Homeowners sometimes submit applications for equipment that doesn’t meet current efficiency standards or isn’t included on Duke Energy’s qualified equipment list. Verification before purchase prevents these costly oversights that can result in rebate denial.

Our team maintains current rebate program requirements and handles all documentation to prevent common application errors that delay rebate processing or reduce payout amounts.

Contractor Licensing and Certification Issues

Duke Energy requires HVAC installations to be performed by properly licensed contractors with current certifications. Unlicensed contractors or expired licenses can disqualify otherwise valid rebate applications, costing homeowners hundreds of dollars in lost incentives.

EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling is mandatory for all HVAC installations involving refrigerant systems. Contractors must also maintain current state licensing and liability insurance to meet Duke Energy’s rebate program requirements.

As a licensed HVAC contractor (CAC1821875) with all required certifications, Pronto Service Pros ensures your installation meets every rebate program requirement from initial consultation through final documentation submission.

Equipment Specification Misunderstandings

Rebate amounts depend on specific SEER, HSPF, and ENERGY STAR ratings that vary between equipment models and sizes. Homeowners sometimes assume all units from qualifying manufacturers earn rebates, but efficiency ratings determine actual rebate amounts.

Split system rebates require both indoor and outdoor units to meet efficiency specifications. Installing a high-efficiency outdoor unit with a standard efficiency indoor coil may disqualify the entire system from rebate eligibility.

Our system design process includes detailed efficiency calculations and equipment matching to ensure your complete system qualifies for maximum available rebates while delivering optimal performance and reliability.
